Inguinal hernia
I am suffering from inguinal hernia, doctor advised me to undergo open hernia repair with mesh implementation. But as mesh is foreign object, I was looking for non-mesh hernia repair and found out that Desarda repair technique doesn't use mesh. But to my dismay none of the doctors are using this technique except Desarda himself at his hernia center, why is it so? Is it because it is not beneficial to patients as claimed by him?which is the best hernia repair technique and what are down sides of Desarda repair?

Hi Dear Good Day. First off why you want or you are going for open Hernioplasty..ist only because of economical point of view.why you are looking for Laproscopic..which much more better than open...and what's the problem with the mesh..it's much more better if you ll do with mesh because you are young..and most important thing you can avoid recurrence of hernia after surgery..so my suggestion ll be always as young patients you have choose repair with mesh what ever open or laproscopic.. And about Desarda and Modified Bassini repair are quite old..so I don't think so any one is doing there.so please don't worry, it's very common surgery and everyone doing with mesh..
Next Steps
Go through Mesh
