Hi, I have a painful vein starting from under the right breast and leading towards the abdomen, have tenderness in right ribs too. It's visible when the right arm is lifted and is stiff like a chord, not otherwise but the pain is constant. I am suffering from inguinal hernia, doctor advised me to undergo open hernia repair with mesh implementation. But as mesh is foreign object, I was looking for non-mesh hernia repair and found out that Desarda repair technique doesn't use mesh. But to my dismay none of the doctors are using this technique except Desarda himself at his hernia center, why is it so? Is it because it is not beneficial to patients as claimed by him?which is the best hernia repair technique and what are down sides of Desarda repair?
