Since 2020, I have developed extreme fear of diseases that can be fatal. One such disease is rabies. Where I live there are lots of stray dogs, cats, monkeys. What chances are there of contracting rabies via indirect routes. Say, if at night in summer I pick up a coin or note that fell from my wallet on the road and after like 5 mins or so accidently touch my eyes or mouth, can I get rabies? Or like today dogs were barking next to my gate and after like half an hour I closed the gates so touched the gate. But I got injured after a few minutes and had blood come out. I had taken primary immunization of 5 doses, 3 years back and 2 boosters of ARV in January, 2024. Do you think I need to take 2 boosters again to be safe?

Hi, Today I met my cousin, while conversing she just said me that her under neck is swollen I'm seeing doctors for this. I just touched her neck to feel it and later she said it'seems its a EBV virus and puss is formed inside and they are suggesting biopsy and complete body scan to spread of the virus. She wasn't wearing any mask. I said it's better you wear mask , she said "it doesn't spread itseems this usually comes from childhood is what doctors told me" I was like okay. I never heard of EBV virus I just surfed to know tat it's very infectious and it does spread from person to person. I am worried now. What should I do? I just touched her swollen neck and ran through her hard copy reports while she was explaining. She was standing next to me itself. Am I in any risk? What should be done? Please guide.
