I am suffering from cold and from last 2 days I am taking Montewok lc. But stills the problem persist. Do I need to take some extra medicine apart from Montewok Lc. Or any different medicine I need to take?

Why are antibiotics given for everything
I haven't left a doctor's appointment without a prescription of antibiotics tablets. Here are some of the scenarios
- skin abrasion
- insect bite - hive
- viral infection /cold
Could any doctor please chime in why it is over prescribed?
