I have -0.75 power in my left eye and recently got glasses. Is it necessary for me to wear them all the time or is it fine if I wear them when I go outside and not inside the room or at night?

My 7 year son has astigmatism. We consulted two doctors one told that his number is 2.5 cylindrical. Another said 2.25 and told me to bring him again after pupil dilation. My query is - is pupil dilation necessary to find accurate number. Is pupil dilation safe. Does it cause any uncomfort to child. As he is to be dilated 2 hours before checkup.

I m having problem of blur vision,it generally happens for seeing things which are at some distance.
