Regarding LASIK surgery

My sph eye power is : Left :8.0 Right: 8.25 Cornea thickness details: Thickness left : 535um Thickness right : 523um Can u please suggest me if i am eligible for an LASIK surgery? As per my doc m not eligible for LASIK so he asked me to go for a SMILE surgery.

My am nearsighted with eye power -0.5D left -0.5D right . I can read books, newspaper /near object naturally but for distant object i need glasses. I wish to know to know "is it ok to read books, newspaper without glasses? Or it will worsen my eye power?" & Do i only use glasses for seeing distant object only?

I am 30 yrs old female. My ophthalmologist told me that I'm suffering from an eye condition called Keratoconous. And I need to undergo a surgerical procedure to control it. Another doc told me that post 25 yrs this condition stabilises, so surgery is not required. Please help me understand the right treatment.
