Both my siblings, aged 15 and 22, have keratosis pilaris. I am 12-years old and was wondering if I too can develop those acne-like bumps on my arms and elsewhere on the body. Is this problem genetic? Or occurs due to a certain lifestyle? Someone please inform me of all the causes of keratosis pilaris. Your inputs would be really helpful to me.

For the past 2 weeks I have been observing the occurrence of acne like bumps on my forearms and thighs. I am a 21-years old male and an athlete. My coach said I could have keratosis pilaris. These bumps aren’t reducing or disappearing by using any creams. I am worried so can a doctor please tell me what are the keratosis pilaris symptoms?

My keratosis pilaris is easily visible to everyone as the major development took place around my thighs and arms. I haVE keratosis pilaris. They are primarily around cheeks and forearms. I am under best treatment for curing this disease but I can’t help wonder if those red and white acne-like bumps itch or hurt. Does someone know if keratosis pilaris is itchy?
