Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

My nose is blocked without cold or cough. When I consulted the ENT Doctor. He gave medication for 15 days. Which didn't yield the desired results. So he has suggested CT PNS Plain scan. Is this recommended? I read that CT Scans are more harmful. kindly guide.
