Audibility is reduced in Ear bcz of Cold

I've been suffering from Cold since ~ 3 weeks. I consulted Doctor also & taking medicines too for Cold. But my ear's audibility is reduced drastically particularly Left ear. General Physician has told me that it is due to cold only, but my cold has now almost improved but there is no improvement in my ear.
