Why i have shortness of breathe(6/10) while at rest and almost okey when exercise (8/10) Although my PFT are normal plus no pain in my chest or cough. #been smoker for lst few years Stopped since 1 months

Sir from the last year I have a problem of extremely thick mucus that's struck in the back of my throat that is very difficult to clear.I have echo,ecg and chest x-ray and all are normal.Done endoscopy and colonoscopy and have normal results .But my phelgm just refuses to go..Even inhalers gives me respite only for few minutes The problem is that when this sticky phelgm gets struck I have chest heaviness and breathing trouble.But pft results show normal Yes from birth I have bronchitis but that also mild One of local doctor is suspecting cystic fibrosis but he said that's highly unlikely What is causing this? My name is Sumit. Age 28, Male. I am having cough since past 1 month and the antibiotics or syrups didnt help. I have dust allergy since 2 years. But the cough problem is present since past 30 days. Specially every morning, its difficult to breathe. Most of my time in entire day is spent in throwing out cough. I have also observed that sitting in Air Conditioned room also adds to my problem as if I have allergy from AC as well. Even right now I am feeling as if  something is  obstructing in breathing and its the cough ofcourse. No matter how many times I spit it out, cough comes back within seconds. Please help.
