Hello dr, My dr prescribed me COVID 19 virus qualitative rtpcr throat swap test. Can u please tell how it is diffrent from COVID 19 rtpcr test ? Or both are same?

Am Covid positive Chest X-ray normal. crp- 0.06 D DIMER- 220.. CBC, LFT, Vitamins, completely normal. no sugar No fever or body aches.. SPO2- above 96% most of the times.. It's almost 14 days since I got positive But still why do I feel I can't breathe properly through nose? I feel as if air isn't entering my nose.. I would describe it as rapid shallow breathing I have sinusitis, deviated nasal septum, polyps but it's since 3 years and have remained inactive N SYMPTOM FREE., I don't know if it's causing me issues now coz of Covid Feeling depressed and helpless. Don't know which doctor to go to

Hi..I have chronic cough for last 12 years. It stays for about 3-4 months and is quite severe. I suffer from this cough each year. Doctors diagnose it as Bronchitis cough, CVA, allergy etc. All investaigation reports have always been clear. Medicines do not work and ultimately, doctors resort to steroids.One doctor prescribed me Gabapentin NT 400 at night but unfortunately it did not work even 1% and I kept coughing all night. My cough gets litter better upon head massage or when I am distracted. No cough when I am sleeping. Any advise? Recently, I read about Gabapentin being a good medicine for chronic cough. I nightstarting taking 300 mg three times a day and I see about 40-50% relief. Now, my question is - can I try and take 600 mg three times a day? The studies I have read says 1800 mg is well tolerated and is effective for people suffering from Chronic cough.

I have been diagnosed with TB in the Pleura, Iam on DOT treatment , It has been almost been more than  one month of the treatment and water drainage, my right side of the lung still hurts. Iam not able to sleep well towards right. My uric acid is 11 and cholesterol is 224. Is it because of these Anti TB Drug? What to do?

I have been prescribed dry powder inhaler twice a day. Can I use it empty stomach before breakfast as I have to go to Office. Thanks in advance

My mother is expecting weakness after covid. She also feeling sweat at night. Sometimes BP is going below 60/100, after some food and suppliments that goes up. What to do in this case please suggest.

Hello, My mother was admitted a couple of days back in the government hospital with the severe coughing issue and low oxygen level(80 during admission). After checking doctor suggested it is due to the lung infection and prescribed some medicines and injection. After one dose of medicines and injection s, the BP and pulse rate is fluctuating.Attached the prescription. Could you please suggest and let me know if the prescribed medicines are ok and can be given? Thanks.

My mother, 60Y, used to have SOB on stress and has been prescribed Butamate 400 inhaler die to moderate lung restriction in PFT report. Doctor has prescribed it for 8 weeks. All other blood, ECG, echo, xray reports are normal. I wanted to ask that if she starts inhaler, will she have to take it for lifetime or is it temporary?

Having chest pain while breathing after 2016 when Diagnosed with Pulmonary TB.After 3 months i got reaction to ethambutol,dn continued with the rest medicine,After that even while i inhale cold air i get Chest pain,and having skin and hair issues . Consulted a Pulmonologist and rheumatologist ,CT ,X ray came normal ,ANA (4+),Diagnosed as SLE and Hypothyroid. Almost 1 month down on medication for these terms.But no relieve in chest pain,It is getting more severe as days are passing especially because of winter,Started hearing some cracking sound also while i cough. Have got some test result today : My IGE test is 273 mg/dl Monocyte-0.7 Eosinophil -0.5 Urine,HpF :4-8 Currently on these medicine: Thyroxine 25 mcg Omnacortil-20 Calten D500 Gemcal HCQS-200 Hemfer xt What is wrong that i am getting these symtoms?
