What is the risk after getting 2 HRCT thorax scans with a gap of 1.5 years ? Why people say that you can get health issues after a decade or two.

I've been experiencing shortness of breath for some days. It happens for a short period (approx10 mins) of time in day then it automatically vanishes. What is the possible cause?
