Chest & Breathing Problems

I have diffuculty breathing when lying down and both sides. please help. is it a lung or a heart problem?

I have a dry cough for several weeks particularly from the day i have came to bangalore for new job from that time i have a dry cough i try many medicines given by doctor but it doesn't cure my dry cough. But i have no pain in my chest as well as in throat during dry cough and have no breathing problems

I am feeling difficulty in breathing from about last 5 to 6 days. I also feel presence of mucous in my throat but can neither swallow it nor can I spit it out. I consulted my doctor and he prescribed me some medicines along with cefix for 5 days.I also have a pet cat, do you think its because of her. I love my cat and don't want to give her away.
