Chest & Breathing Problems
Is it necessary to remove the lung.
In July 2017 I was diagnosed with TB. Was in the hospital with strong antibiotics and a drain pipe in my left lung. Has been tested clean, no TB for the last 3 months. The TB destroyed my left lung completely. No function or any air flos in lung. My right lung grow very large and strong. Seen a heart and lung specialist and they want to remove the left lung.
Went for VQ scans and waiting for the ego to see if my heart and lung is stong enough is for the surgery.

Pleural effusion - when to remove tube?
I've had pleural effusion in the left lung (left side of my chest).
When breathing became too difficult I went to ER then admitted into hospital where they've used a bedside chest tube (catheter... the one plugged at the side of the chest with very thin transparent plastic tube) & drained significant fluid out.
It has already been 55 days & fluid output is still not within limit of 200ml/24hrs to remove catheter. Decreased but settled at 220-450 ml for a while. Is it still safe to remove tube?
