Hi, recent tests showed positive for mucinous carcinoma for my mother. One of the doctors advised for a surgery. My mother is 61yrs old. I would like to know if it is good to go ahead for surgery? What about post surgery, does she need to undergo chemotheraphy?

I've been having on/off jaw ache for months now, I believe due to jaw clenching. Today however I had some random pain in left side of chin, its gone now and only lasted a minute but I've scared myself by Googling and a condition called Numb Chin Syndrome came up which has scary causes.
