My mom was experiencing symptoms for thyroid cancer. She had undergone biopsy, but the doctor wasn't sure if it was malignant or benign. Can a person die out of thyroid cancer?

Hi , My father is diagnose with Lung cancer which is spreaded to L3 Spine. Doctor here said it's 4th stage , and We went through Radiotherapy, And for egfr mutation the Report is Negative , Wild Type and for ALK still we are waiting for Report.
