My father was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of base of tounge 6 months back and subsequently he was treated with Radiotherapy and chemotherapy now he is in follow up period and his last pet scan 4 days back showing active lesion in base of tounge and cervical lymph node II and when we found out carcinoma 6 months back, my father was having a primary site in base of tounge with lymph nodes involvement in neck on bilateral side with size of RT. CX l.n.-21×24×36 mm AND LT. CX L.N.- 18×18×24 mm without any metastasis in other body so what should be our next step toward treatment of my father. THANKS.

My husband has cis bladder cancer that has spread to his prostate, all within 9 months. The BCG did not work so the consensus is according to our doc and her partners to take it out. Do you think we should talk to an oncologist for another opinion first?

For the past 30 years I've had the same general practitioner. At least once each year I would mention to him that my father and his siblings, had died of cancer. I asked that he be aware of that and monitor my health for same. He always indicated that wouldn't be a problem. I've enjoyed very good health and just recently had a colonoscopy, which revealed a growth which is cancerous. I had just had my annual wellness checkup in November, at which the GP found nothing wrong. I'm upset.
