Hello Doctor, I’m a 30-year-old woman, one month postpartum. My ultrasound and MRI mammography reports show: MRI Mamography Findings: BIRADS III lesion (24 x 13 mm) in the left breast with minimal enhancement. Few reactive lymph nodes in the left axilla (largest 18 x 10 mm). USG Findings: BIRADS IV lesion in the left breast at 12 o’clock (irregular margins, 43 mm from the nipple). Multiple BIRADS II lesions in the right breast and prominent lactiferous ducts. I’m anxious about the BIRADS IV lesion and reactive lymph nodes. Could lactation cause these findings? Should I proceed with a biopsy, or can I wait? How reliable is MRI compared to USG during lactation? Please guide me on the next steps.
