Sharp Pain in my right lower abdomen

Sometimes I get a sharp pain in my right lower abdomen which stays for few hours and then subsides.Pain starts with right lower abdomen and then it spreads to my right lower back. I feel better if I apply pressure on the affected areas. But once I release the pressure, the pain comes back. It happens only on right side. What shall I do?
