Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

My son coughs a lot and wheezes at times. So much that his chest hurts. Little phelgm also comes sometimes. No fever. More at nught. Our paediatric last year prescribed bro zedex (sos) and tixylix. He said my son will improve as he grows. Which to some extent is true, since he doesn't cough as frequently as he used to. But when he coughs it hurts him badly. What should I do

Respected Doc, I am mother of 2 children. Age is 50+. I suffer unbearable coughing, feels like I need to cough and throw out the phelgm. Cannot stop the coughing until phelgm comes out. Gives me a lot of pain. Doctor gave me some medicine and advised to use nebuliser. I am not satisfied with my doctor and need to know what's wrong??

Hi Doctor, My father is having Heavy cough problem, other person who is sleeping along with him, he/she will not get proper sleep, i have visited to many doctors and gave him different medicines, some says it's Bronchtise asthama, some has given General Cough Medicines, father used all sort of Rotahealer/Medicnes, However he is not cured at all. Request your suggestions. Please help me to sort out cough problem.

I am having this issue since almost a month now, after eating any medium to heavy sized meal, I'm having coughing while in sleep position. it slows down only after taking an antacid like Eno or digene liquid. Cough that comes out is usually white liquid unlike usual yellow cough.

Have been coughing for about three weeks now. Had low grade fever and body ache on and off the first week which went away with a round of paracetamol and antibiotics. Hi My son (22 months) had fever (100) , cold ,cough on 4th Sep,21. Consulted online and got antibiotics 5 day course. Used it for 4 days, but fever used to come after 6 hrs everyday. So, took to pedatrician and he suggested for admission in hospital as fever is coming back. Blood report showed crp -8. I was told he is having phlegm in chest and that has to come out. Admitted in hospital for 5 days. Given pipzo inj 4/day and IV fluids. After doing blood test and confirming no infection, we got discharged on 13thsep. Given cough, cold syrup for home during discharge. He is normal and active for 1 day. He got fever , cold , cough again. Got blood test done again, Neutrophils 85, platelet 5L. Doc told infection came back , need to admit for one more week and increase dose of antibiot this time and send to culture also.For Now, He gave antibiot to use for 10 days, if no better result in 48hrs, need to admit. (cefpodoxime proxetil, Azithromycin, cold n cough med). Any suggestions for this?

I had cold ,cough and fever two weeks back.I have consulted doctor and he prescribed antibiotics(amoxilin 625 and paracetomal 500 and ascoril cough syrup). Then after a week cold and cough continued with running nose and he gave some cold tablet for two days and it is settled. Again I am suffering sever cold,cough and chill in the body with temperature of 97 to 99 deg F from yesterday onward. Today i went to consult again and he prescribed for some blood and urine check up . I have attached the report with this mail. He is asking me to take IV daily for four days and few more antibiotics. I have told my medical history with him and he asked me get the opinion with you regarding the treatment. Shall i take treatment with him or need to go to big hospital? Kindly suggest .... I am taking hot water steam/vapor inhale for cold. What is the correct way of taking vapor ? Is it through nostril only? Or nostril and mouth both ? I also got cough along with cold. Does steam inhale helps with cough as well ?

My 5 months old baby is having dry cough, every time i breastfeed, he coughs and leaves the nipple and cries, making feeding sessions very difficult. Im using nasoclear drops, please suggest what else best can be done. Thanks in advance
