Can I give an ayurvedic cough syrup to my mom who is a high BP patient? Normal cough syrups result is increase in BP and cannot be given. She is suffering from severe coughing.

I have a constant dull & mild type of chest pain from november last year after a spell of vigorous cough. it is still there. i feel the pain in sternum & manubrium and recently in upper back & under shoulder blade. my chest x ray % usg reports are normal. my dr asked me to take uprise d3 60k once a week for 8 weeks. i also have nasal tone & occasional wet cough since then. what is it? what could be the remedy? or which specialist doctor i would visit? thanks in advance sir.

I was feeling breathlessness due to blocked nose as I had flu / common cold fever runny nose  disappeared in less than 1 day just blocked nose stayed that too unbearable I believe that caused breathlessness so doctor gave me two medicines 👉ranitidine hydrochloride 👉diclofenac sodium paracetamol & It worked blocked nose & breathlessness is no more but still 2 more doses are pending Question : I have dry cough issue so can I take cough syrup ( dextromethorphan hydrobromide and chlorpheniramine maleate syrup ) when on those medicines ?  Thankyou
