Hi, I am Richa, from 3-4 days I am suffering from cough and now its been increased a lot. I am 20weeks pregnant so I can't take any cough antibiotics as per my mind. This cough is wet kind and feeling some dryness in vocal chord all time and some time whooping cough also coming. I am fed up with this and whenever coughing I am feeling pressure at my abdomen. Got sore throat followed by coughing. Consulted doctor who prescribed antibiotic( cefopoxime) , anti allergic, cough syrup dr.reddy resewas. Had these medicines and also Took steam continuously for 2 weeks . Felt better after this treatment and coughing happened only at night when i laid down to sleep. 2days before had cold which was very moderate and got well within a day. But Since yesterday evening, having continuous coughing again and whole day today as well. Kindlt suggest some prescription. Can i take azithromycin 500mg as i have already taken cefopodexine for 5days some days before.
