My 4 years old is coughing since 7 months my doc recommend cough syrup. After taking montair lc kid syrup her cough stops. What is the reason of her cough. Is it serious? How to treat her cough .or any tests? Pls suggest.

Hi I am having cough for more than a month . It was a dry cough until last week but last couple of days having cold as well.i am a breast feeding mom and have to tried benadryl cough syrup as well.
