I have a red spot on my top lip where my cold sore was, is it still contagious? I've had a cold sore recently that lasted 12 days. It scabbed already and the scab fell off but there's still a red spot where it was. I'm still applying Acyclovir in hopes of making it disappear. I at once ate acyclovir 800mg two times in interval of 6 hr and today morning i went to doctor and he gave me                  valacyclovir Hydrochlorde 1000 . Is it same to that i ate yesterday . Dear Sir, I have been diagnosed with Ramsay Hund Syndrome (herpes zostar virus in ear with mild facial paralysis) and it taking antiviral(acyclovir) and omnocortil(40/30 mg) since last 10 days. Acyclovir 800 (4 times a day) ×5 days is prescribed for chicken. LFT showed Sgot-67.5 Sgpt-132.7 Ala -125.32 Ggt- 240 Total bilirubin - 0.38 Direct bilirubin- 0.12 Do I need to get him admitted in hospital. Plz help

I'm suffering from genital herpes infection from last 2 years. As I was facing recurrent herpes outbreak I started taking Acyclovir 400 mg twice a day from December 2022 and stopped in mid of May 2023. Next week after stopping taking antiviral, herpes outbreak again appeared. How long I should take antiviral? Kindly help.
