I had an abortion at 6 weeks few days ago. Now i went for USG and found that i had blood clots in uterus. There isn't any bleeding. I visited doctor and she gave me Azithromycin and Methergine. But when I searched online, i found that methergine is used for stopping postpartum bleeding. Should I take it to induce bleeding and remove blood clot?

I had a medical abortion at 6 weeks few weeks ago. After few days when bleeding stopped, i still had pain and usg showed blood clots as "retained products of conception". The dctr gave me methergine twice a day for 3 days with azithromycin. Till now after taking it for 2 days the cramps increased even after taking pain killers and haven't passed any blood. How will the blood clots go if won't be bleeding? When will the bleeding start?

Today is my 16th day post iui an i have no symptoms but missed period. 13th day i had cramps and on 14th day i took test which turned out to be negative. Should i wait for some more time
