Hi doctor I am 28 years old breastfeeding mom.my baby is 13 months old.After my delivery I got periods in 8th month of my baby.after that some times periods will come at correct date or it will come late.And one month heavy bleeding means another month light bleeding.plz tell what will be the reason?

I am 42 and have hypothyroidism and taking thyroxine. My periods were irregular which improved after taking thyroid supplements this month I am having heavy bleeding and passing clots and the bleeding has continued even on the 5th day. I have never had bleeding for more than 4 days. This time it is already 5 days and looks like it will continue for another few days.. I have no pain... What could be the reason and what can I take to stop the heavy bleeding?
