My dad has been admitted in hospital for bacterial infection in blood after consultation doctor said that he is affected by cellulitis and one of the doctor suggested surgery. but we are in confusion that whether cellulitis requires surgery

Sir my father age 64 year and he have a solid cystic mass on mid pole of left kidney since 4 years. In 2014 the size of cyst was 3.5 x 3.5 and now 2017 the size is 4.5 x4. 5.
