Sudden weakness in leg

High sugar value

He was recently diagnosed with high sugar value of 275mg before fasting and 508 after2 hours. It's alarmingly high and pretty scared with HBa1ç standing at 13.5%. he is being advised to take metamorphism and insulin to reduce but I'm confused with many advising with its side effects and to try LCHF diet for reducing it.
