Are beta cells dead
My recent hba1c came to be 6.7 weight 145 kilos my doctor said to go diet and exercise not for medication medication as it's borderline n I could reverse it with diet and exercise but I really somewhere that once u cross the healthy hba1c most of the beta cells are dead and the remission would only be temporary is it true and whether the people who achieved diabetes remission should never touch sweets all their life??

Moving back pain
My mother is 55 years old.
She is diabetic for last 10 years and having BP from last 2 months.
She is having moving back pain for last 15 days . Sometimes it is severe , sometimes mild and sometimes it spreads till theighs.
Is it something serious about it? Or can we wait for it to go on its own.
Meds : currently she is taking istamet 50/500 and amaryl 2mg morning and night. For BP, she is taking Telma 40 at night.
Pls advice for the moving back pain , whether to leave it to go on its own or should we consult for it.
