Hello, Dr. I have a great appetite for coffee. But without sugar, it's not worth it. because I have diabetes. Hence I heard about sugar-free gold tablets being a substitute for sugar. Now my worry is whether can I use that or not? will it cause any side effects? Thank you

On the 31st of August I had my first redraw labs done for hypothyroidism. I was suffering from insomnia so I asked my doctor to switch my medicine. She will be making changes when my lab results come in, but my medicine ran out yesterday and I was wondering if it would be ok to go a couple of days without the medicine until she calls me with the changes (as of yesterday my results had not come in).

I was diagnosed with diabetes in March 2017 with hba1c 8.5. I have changed the lifestyle and diet and followed the medication properly. Now my hba1c is 6.1 in Aug 2017. What does this mean? Is it just controlled or getting reversed? Can I expect to stop mettformin if I can maintain the same level for some more months?
