Last two days I'm suffering from cold Nd body pains feel inside very hard if I want to eat anything it get problem

My dad, 59 was not able to get proper sleep. He could sleep but not deep. Doctor prescribed him alprax 0.25. He asked to take it half (0.125mg) every night for 10 days and stop it. My dad has taken it for 2 days but now he wants to quit it. Can he stop taking it from today. Will there be any dangerous withdrawal symptoms like seizures? Please reply

Suffering with fever, Nosal blockage and body pains for the last 3 days. Fever is down for 8hrs when I take paracetamol
