Can your d dimer result get affected if you are taking blood thinners? Father's d dimer came out to be 1800. Doctor prescribed blood thinner. Next day we re tested to be sure, it came out to be 150. After 1 week again, its 160. During this time he took bloody hinners. Can we stop blood thinner? Does blood thinner affect d dimer values so that it comes low? Or the first test (1800) may be false?

Something. So consulted a doctor he wrote me few tests in that everything was normal Except for CRP 17.43 and D-Dimer 304 even though I took medicine for covid...now my cold is reduce cough I reduce but I got tested again for CRP it came 21.87...but I feel fine no fever oxygen is good it's always 99 and temperature is 98.4 everything...but my doctor is suggesting to take steroids is this necessary... please help I need to know

I lost my father to covid on this 22nd April, it's been almost 2 months now, somehow my mom managed to stay composed but now in every discussion she remembers my father like while eating, sleeping and even with relatives on call.
