Want to consult a maxillo facial surgeon regarding pain (pressure and uneasiness)  I am feeling in my mouth especially in  lower jaw after braces treatment. I am in retainer stage now from last one month... ... I had extraction of 4premolars and undergone braces in both my upper and lower teeth as suggested by dentist because it didn't look good when I smile, so l tried to smile with close lips that look bad too. Otherwise no other problems were there except this that after closing mouth lip look swollen... But from 6-7months before removal of my braces l started feeling pain in my lower jaw which continues even after removal of braces and open bite problem, little space is also there and started facing speech problem,.. Etc...now I am bearing retainers but feeling pressure even if I remove them... Please suggeste me what should I do and why this is so.
