I have prescribed alprazolam 0.25 mg daily once for little anxiety. I have taken it for 20 days. I have stop taking this from last 4 days. Then I came to know from internet that this medicine  should not be stop immediately but reduce dosage. But I have used medicine for only 20 days and very low dosage . 20 days consider to be short term , so can I stop it immediately or reduce dosage for some days and then stop?

My mother is facing problem of constipation from last 4 months and having very little pain at upper abdomen and the pain automatically goes after some time without any medicine and at evening time she sometimes feels like vomiting so we conduct all her routine medical check up and her hba1c is 9.8 rest all test came back normal so the pain is because of constipation or we should go for another test.
