I am a software engineer. I have been suffering from dry eyes for past 2years. My opthalmologist suggested to use carboxymethylcellulose drops daily to keep eyes hydrated and get relief from dryness. Does carboxymethylcellulose have any side effects like other antibiotic and steroid eye drops? I read that long usage of antibiotic/steroid eye drops cause glaucoma. So am scared of using carboxymethylcellulose. Is it safe to use carboxymethylcellulose for long time? Kindly reply me. Thanks

I have currently 3 chalazions in my left eye since August 2022 and one in right eye. previously I had 3 chalazions in my right eye which was surgically removed on 2nd March 2022. The current left lid chalazion is inflammed and hurts and is getting bigger in size unlike other chalazions,even though I am using hot compressors and the proper medications.i really don't want to go through that painful surgery again and again I don't know the reason for this reoccurring chalazions.also i want to know how effective is steroid injections? Should I go for injections or with the surgery. Now I am feeling that I am being cursed I am preparing for Upsc with these complications it's very hard to manage all of that Please help me what should I do

Good evening doctors, I'm 27 y/o guy. I had dry eyes in 2012 which i recovered by 2014-15. Now after such a long period I'm seeing some sparks around corner of my eyes & little pain. I'm using refresh tears to get some relief. Any suggestions what to do with this?
