My husband met an accident and glass pieces are stuck into eyes due to which his eyes are swollen and doctors cant detect whether only the cornea layer is damage or more damage has occured, please help

Hello. For years now I have been having these extreme eye symptoms. I narrowed it down to certain food that I eat. Some dairy and foods with a lot of preservatives really trigger it. Symptoms include extreme redness, milky white spots, possible bruising, sensitivity to light, earaches, blurred vision, watering, and pain. One flare up can last for months. Antibiotics somewhat help, but not always. Is this an eye problem or more of a food allergy?
