My eye was injured three years ago amd i have a monofocal lens. It becomes very painful and watery in the winters. How to get rid from this problem. Please help

Last day i was doing some odd welding work just for some testing things and after that my eyes started burning slightly i thought its ok so i came back home washed my eyes and went to bed for sleep. Suddenly in the middle of the night my eyes started burning and water was coming from it constantly. I put some cotton and after that i put some cucumber. Its ok now but i am worried about this time to time its burning slightly.
