Both Eye balls turning blue from black both eyes for my father aged 59. Noticed

Does Ophthalmologist doctor in the clinic by testing the retina of the eyes detect if there is inflammation of optic nerve ?

I have cataract in both eyes. I got cataract surgery done on right eye on 18.04.2018 in Army Hospital. I came to you with pain in my right eye. You told that operation done was good but had inflammation in it. You prescribed 3 types of eye-drops. One for 1 month and 2 for 3 months. I feel better in the right eye but have below question: I feel itchiness, dryness and uneasiness in the left eye which is not yet operated. Can I put the same medicines in this eye as well?
