6 YRS OLD SON DIAGNOSED WITH DIABITIES

My son is 6yrs old and he has been recently diagnosed with diabities , he was admitted in the hospital for 7 days and was given medication for typhoid and diabities, before identifying diabities he was suffering from typhoid for two months , the doctor has not figured out/ told us the reason because it's not genetical , his sugar level raised to 585 but there were no symptoms regarding that , can the diabities before reversed , also it was earlier mentioned that the pancreas aren't producing insulin , what can be the reason? Please help...
