My mother smt. SUKLA Banerjee have recently diagnosed IVC of breast at Tata memorial hospital so the doctors decided to do a surgery followed by chemotherapy but as she's diabetic ( fasting 168 , pp 250 mgdl) she is already taking 2000mg of metformin and 2 mg of glimipiride but she needs much better control, how could that be achieved? Would she add more 500 mg of metformin will that work? or shift to insulin? If the second is the choice then please suggest any doctor in parel(near TM hospital) to guide her through the procedure as early as possible thus she could be declared fit for surgery in no time.
