I'm having severe hair loss especially from front portion of my head. The hair loss has almost started to become balding in crown area. I have heard that PCOS treatment by Metformin increases chances for breast cancer. Is there any other alternative to control my hair fall ?

I have not having my periods since from last 6/7months I have also concerned from 2/ 3 doctor bt the problem is still going on

FINDINGS: The right and left thyroid lobes measure 4.2 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm and 4.5 x 2.4 x 1.8 cm, respectively , with heterogeneous parenchymal echopattern. No definite mass lesions noted. Minimal increase in vascular flow is noted within the gland. The isthmus is thickened. The adjacent soft tissue and vascular structures are unremarkable. No enlargement lymph nodes noted. IMPRESSION : Enlarged thyroid gland with diffuse parenchymal disease. FREE T4 : 10.79 pmol/l TSH : 2.74 uIU/ml Please tell me the meaning. Thank you so much

My mother 65 years old age is diabetic and she has been admitted twice in past 1 month. Complain is pain in throat and this comes with high fever. She is suffering from this and doctor has mentioned it as hyperthyroid after all tests. Her voice has also changed and has a sore throat and also unable to swallow . Please suggest.

My sister was taking Thyronorm for Hypothyroid for 2-3 years. Now in recent blood profile TSH ,T3/ T4 value showed decrease tremendously . In earlier test it was not noticed. In recent report it was noticed. Now Doctor has advised Neomercazole 10. Her face and eyes are swollen. How long it will take to become normal. Thanks

I have been taking thyronorm 25 mcg/day for last two years.TSH is the problem, T3 and T$ normal.It never went beyond 5. But when it crosses 4.5, having heavy hair loss. Because of hair loss just checked 3 days before and the level is 4.7. Should I increase the dosage? Feeding a baby of 1 yr.Please advise
