I was diagnosed with PCOS and prediabetes last fall. I cut back on alcohol consumption after many years of abuse. Now when I do have several drinks it seems my body isn't allowing it to metabolize as fast and I Black out quite often when drinking. Doc has prescribed Galvus 50/1000 in place of Istamet 50/500. Is this the same medicine from a different company with different strength?? Does this effect pancreatic functions to control blood sugar or does it enhance the functions of insulin shots? Thank you.

I have been advised to take 37.5 mcg Thyronorm on weekends. Can I take 12.5 mcg tabs in combination of 3 Tabs to make 37.5mcg. or 2 tabs to make 25mcg. As I already have them with me.
