Chest & Breathing Problems

My husband got pulmonary tb (found in biopsy treatment) and after 6 months of treatment he became better and gained weight. Later he started drinking alcohol and smoking (occasionally) and he s getting cough. As per the recent examination he has lung infection and blood test also showing variations. Is it's expected after tb? Currently he is taking ayurvedic medicine and feeling better.

Pulmonologist had asked us to do a Total IGE and Total Esonophil count blood test for my daughter if the cought she has persists and had also asked us to get the repors next time we meet him. This was 1.5 months ago. My daughter still has cough. Thought of getting those blood tests done. Should one stop taking antihistamines like Montek-Fx before the IGE & Esonophil blood test? Or is it okay to get it done without stopping the medicine. Kindly advice.

I Haven been facing sudden difficulty in breathing/Chest wheezing for a small duration of 20-30 mins anytime in the day/night for the past 2 months - I got my PFT Test and X ray done and both were Ok according to the Doctor. He has suggested me to take Ventidox- M earlier and then changed the medicine to Abiways - 200 SR and Montair FX . When I take the medicines the condition disappears but comes back again when stop taking it. The doctor told me to take them whenever I feel the situation worsening, I don't think that is a logical long term solution. Please suggest me what should be the proper course of action for this condition.

Hello doctors,my relative is suffering with TB. We are in close contact with that person.Can you pls suggest the TB related tests for confirmation.we have some dry cough 3  to 5 times a day( More than 2 weeks ) and saliva is sometimes sticky and sometimes normal.Thank you.

7 year old son has dry cough for nearly 2 months. He has asthma and gets cough like this now and then, but it stops in 2 - 3 weeks, this time it just isn't stopping. It's not continuous, and if it gets too much I give him levolin inhaler. Every night he wakes up coughing and I give him warm water or inhaler. Plz advise.

I recently had my IgE levels tested, and they came back very high (8000). My psychiatrist prescribed Vortioxetine, a multimodal antidepressant. I've read that it may increase histamine levels. Given my high IgE, is it safe for me to take this medication? Could it worsen allergic reactions or cause other issues?

Attached are my FeNO report, PFT report, IgE (8000), and ESR (25). I have had persistent nasal congestion since childhood (24×7×365). However, I have recently developed breathing difficulties over the past four years, which I had never experienced before. Based on my reports and diagnostic tests, could my breathing issue be attributed to allergic or non-allergic causes? Additionally, what further diagnostic tests would be necessary to confirm whether my condition is due to allergic airway disease or a non-allergic respiratory disorder?
