L5-S1 Discectomy surgery

I had a lower back pain and right leg pain for which I was operated and L5-S1 disc was partially removed. My neurosurgeon says the 80% of dusc was removed. After 20 days of surgery now I am fine. But my concern is will this cause any kind of problems in future. Would I be doing everything normally as I was doing earlier?
