Ive been having diarrhea for the past 24 hours, my sister said it is an amoeba. What are its symptoms?

Every time I eat heavy or drink tea coffee green tea lemon drink in the evening spicy or oily food I feel like I have to go to toilet right away.I had stomach infection before this is the problem I have been facing since 5 years now. My doctor has suggested me to take Pegfiber for 2 weeks after taking lactifiber for a week. I read various medical articles which suggested that taking fibre supplements for a long time have the opposite effect on the gastrointestinal system. My bowel movement are completely fine during fibre supplements consumption but when the course finishes extreme constipation again occurs. How long should these be taken and what to do when the course ends?
