Hello doctor, can stomach infection cause periods to delay? I got stomach infection on 24th January. I did not have loosies that time and i thought it was getting better but then on 30th january I had severe stomach pain and then loosies and a lot of fluids. Since then I am having loosies except yesterday and today. My periods were due on 5th February but it seems like its two days late now. Is it because of my stomach infection bcs i have a fairly regular cycle of 30 days. How long can it be late?

I am unmarried. I had a laparoscopy for endometriosis on 28th Oct, 16. After one month from laparoscopy, I was prescribed with duphaston from 5th - 25th day of menstrual cycle and after completing 3 months from surgery a sonography was advised. I got sonography done on 31st of January which said that I have cystic lesion with internal echoes and septations in left adenaxae about 4.3×4.2cm. The impression of sonography mentioned haemorrhagic cyst. My gynaecologist said it's just a functional cyst and will gradually go away. My medicines were changed to femilon, which are to be taken from next cycle. I just want a second opinion regarding this. Is it normal or should I be concerned?
