Do western blot results vary from labs to labs? I got tested using tridot after 8 years of exposure and it was negative. My western blot also negative but there is a pink line in it. Near gp 40 region which is horizontal. It doesnt look like a band. A tinge of mild pink line. I asked the doctor they said nothing to worry and the report says no bands detected. My questions are 1) can i rely on those lab results? Can i ignore that pink line and believe my results are negative? 2)suppose if i had developed aids,will my antibodies be detectable? My lymphocyte percentage a month ago was 48 % with wbc count 8100 So my lymphocyte count is 3900+ 3)my symptoms of loss of appetite, going to the loo after eating, feeling tired and weak, feeling chills , sleepy are persistent after taking medicine. 4)my doc says he is  100% sure that i dont have hiv(i have visited him 6+ times in the past one month) Please tell me what i should do.

After 8-10 years of potential exposure, i got tested using tridot. The lab did the test and it was negative. I got tested using western blot again and it was negative. However the western blot paper had a mild pink horizontal line near the bottom(not like a band). I asked the labs and the doctors about this but they said its nothing to worry and it is negative as the report is negative. The report said(no bands detected no antibodies present). Im still worried bout that pink line. Im having persistent symptoms of fatigue and loss of appetite for a month. Loss of weight but i gained weight again. Shoud i go for pcr nat? Or is this enough? The doc says im 100 % fine.
