After suffecient years of exposure, im symptomatic. I want to do a pcr now. Do pcrs have high false positive rate? Im thinking of doing a quantitative pcr. My antibody tests were negative. Which has low false positives? Quantitative or qualitative pcr. Im thinking of doing quantitative because if i had aids, it will show the viral load. I think it has low false positives. What do you think? Please suggest which pcr i should take?
