Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

My baby girl is having cold and cough. Last time (one month before) when she had same problem,Doctor advised to give LS Coril drops 0.5 ml and novamox 0.5 ml for the weight of 6.1 kg, now she is around 7 kg. I am in different location I can't get same LS coril drops. In Medical shop they gave Dextromethorphan hydrobromide and chloropheniramine maleate syrup. Asked me to give 0.5 ml in filler. My question is, both syrup and drop is same? and can I give this one instead of LS coril? Please reply me, as I am unable access doctor now.

Initially I had throat infection. Which I get treated. After 5 days of treatment throat infection problem get sorted out but cough and running nose started. After 8days I consulted doctor for this problem. He suggested course of 5 days to dilute the cough. It worked to dilute cough but cough was there. After few days cough cough again become thick and my chest is paining when I cough. While Breathing roaring sound comes from my nose.

Hi Doctor I gave zentel syrup 10ml last night as prescribed by our pediatrician.but today morning he didnt passed his stool yet. How long it will take to show the result.my kid is not eating anything.please help

Hello, We gave Zentel 10ml 400mg syrup to 6 year old child in 3 months gap from the last same dose given. Is it a matter of concern as the recommended frequency is every 6 months. Is it considered an overdose?

I have problem of chronic cough for past 12 years that begins mostly in winters or with any infection and lasts for 5-6 months The cough is severe enough to interrupt my day to day life. Different doctors have diagnosed it as Asthma/Bronchitis/Hyper-reactive airways etc. All tests - X ray, PFT, blood tests, PNS CT are normal. None of the medicines work be it inhalers or oral steroids or gastro medicines. Could be a Neurogenic/Neuropathic cough related to vagus nerve? Here are my symptoms: 1. Coughing all day long 2. No coughing when sleeping 3. Chest feels relaxed for few minutes after waking up. 4. No coughing when too engrossed in something 5. Sometime I spit out small quantity of saliva colored mucus from chest. 6. Takes lot of effort in coughing. 7. Coughing stops for a few mins if I feel something spicy. 8. Coughing increase considerably if I go out in open 9. Coughing is little better if I stay indoors in warm temp. Does any one have experience in treating this kind of issue?

Does only cough from a month means tb, the cough is not sever it comes 5-6 times a day but when oily food is taken it increases, cough is not with sputum, a month before cough was started with cold flu symptoms but met a gp and got medicines but cold was cured but cough is lasting still, is the cough is due viral infection or is it tb or other.
