Recently Answered Questions on Ornidazole

My mother is an arthritis patient and she is suffering from stomach infection, unbearable body ache, fever and loss of appetite. We have started diarrhea treatment- antibiotics including ornidazole and ofloxacin and ridol for controlling loosemotions along with electrolytes. For fever she's taking dolo 650 mg. But her body aches are not going away. She is having unbearable headache, back ache , legs and joint pains. Can this be of some other origin? Or its related to diarrhea?

Hii, I have been prescribed medication for infection last month after my period, the medication included :  ofloxacin & Ornidazole,                                              syscan 150, fentin,                                              deviry 10mg. but i haven't taken deviry 10mg tablet, will it cause problem. Because my period is late for 17 days, now I'm in cycle day 49, i have tested two times both came nagative. What could be the reason for not getting period? Is it Because of not taking deviry 10mg tablet? If so, can i start the medicine now Or Should I wait for few more days and get pregnancy test?

I was prescribed oral capsules of Zoflonid (ofloxacin 200mg + ornidazole 500mg) by a doctor while out of the country. (The first time I had BV, I was given Micronor.) We did not do a culture test because I will be in transit by the time the results are ready, so he gave me this broad spectrum antibiotic to take until I can see my primary doctor. I just want to know: one, if it's ok to take this drug; and two, if it will interact with my antidepressant (venlafaxine HCl ER, 75mg daily).

I am having anal pus and pain associated with small bleeding sometime. It is paining while sitting and driving. The problem was from 15 days. I visited a GP and he prescribed Ofloxacin and Ornidazole for 1 week and Pain killers. Pain and pus were reduced for couple of days and during the therapy I took rest at home. I am undergoing infertility treatment since last couple of months and I've been experiencing a lot of flatulence since last month. Took ofloxacin and ornidazole but that didn't help. Now I am taking metronidazole. Is it safe to take metronidazole while trying to conceive? It is early in my menstrual cycle and ovulation has not happened (monitored by ultrasound). Please let me know if metronidazole can cause any side effects of i finish the dose before ovulation. Also please let me know if this excess flatulence can be caused by fertility meds/injections and/or progesterone and estrogen medicines.

I am suffering from diarrhoea from many days... I thought it will go away by its own I kept on rehydrating myself I bought ors solution  but the situation was still the same... Then today I went to doctor in my locality he prescribed me ofloxacin and ornidazole (200 and 500mg respectively) with ors solution... Is this medicine safe? And the main question which i forgot to ask was the diet what should I consume??? These many days I was consuming khichdi and rice And since I was consuming ayurvedic medicine bhringrajasav should I stop it or continue consuming I hope doctors will answer me as per my condition Thank you in advance

Hello, i had fever and sore throat on monday 21st August, so i had taken Azithromycin for two days but there was no cure so i had consulted a physician he prescribed me cefpudoxime 200 mg BD and said that i had sinisitius so take an ent opinion, on the same day i took ent opinion he prescribed me levofloxacin 250mg+ ornidazole, but i forget to mention him about cefpudoxime, now i am taking both these drugs, but after taking levofloxacin i am not getting any sleep at night can i discontinue this drug and taje only cefpudoxime.

From last 3 to 4 days I am having upset stomach and stomach pain with low grade fever ranging between 99 to 101. I am having weakness and loss of appetite.
