Is minoxidil (5%) & finasteride (0.1%) topical solution safe for long term usage? Because I've heard that it increases the resting heart rate in the long term? What are the possible side effects of the same?

My dermatologist prescribed finasteride 2.5 mg for androgenetic aloepicia and I was asked to consult an oncologist.The doctor told I can go ahead ,but I am still worried about taking it. I don't want my hair condition to worsen but I also have future plans for pregnancy.
